Grilmanie Barbecue Czech Open 2011

Grilmanie Barbecue Czech Open 2011 is competition of barbecue teams, which takes place in the Czech Republic since 2005. This year is already the 7th round of the national competition, that is again - as in last year - the International Barbecue Czech Open. The Czech teams battled to the
final in a total of 130 registered teams that competed in the regional rounds at GLOBUS hypermarkets across the Czech Republic. In May and June they will fi ght for the title "Czech Barbecue Champion 2011." In the Grand Final Czech Teams will be joined by other international teams to compete for the title "International Barbecue CZ Champion 2011."Participants of the Grilmanie Barbecue Czech Open 2011 in Prague, will receive points that will count towards the international ranking.
DISCIPLINES AND RULES FOR FINALS
Teams have to arrive on site between 9.00 and 9.30 am and be available on the final day until 6 pm.
A team must have 3 to 5 members, and one of them must be the team captain.
Teams will compete in the final in five disciplines listed below:
1. Fish - Salmon
2. Pork - neck
3. Beef - steak meat = beef meat from the back leg
4. Turkey (breast)
5. Dessert - min. 50% prepared on the grill
There are 2 types of grills that are provided: Kettle charcoal grill WEBER One Touch For Station and Gas Grill CAMPINGAZ RBS Classic. However if you wish to bring your own equipment, please contact info@grilmanie.cz.
JURY AND METHOD OF EVALUATION
The teams? evaluation in the competition will be judged by a panel of experts and representatives from Globus or professionals from the Association of Czech Chefs and Confectioners. In each discipline (1 to 5) teams will be Scored from 1-10 (1-worst 10-best).

I. Taste evaluation - the overall assessment of fl avour and texture
(main criteria)
II. Originality (complementary criteria)
III. Presentation (complementary criteria)
Participants of the Grilmanie Barbecue Czech Open 2011 in Prague, will receive points that will count towards the international ranking.
Other categories in the fi nals include:
I. The best team image (stand decoration, service, clothing, style,
atmosphere, mottos, battle cry, etc.).
II. "The most exotic" (the most expressive personality of the competition).
AWARDS AND PRICES
The winning teams will receive the cup, a certificate and prizes from partners of the competition. The panel of judges will also evaluate the best recipes of the closing finals in all 5 disciplines.
